Our Journey
Company Incorporation
Through a very robust Small Holder program, the company started production of African Garden Pickled Gherkins & Sun-Dried Tomatoes sourcing feedstock of raw materials from the Small holder Farmers Group.
Canned Pineapple Production
African Garden Limited started production of canned pineapple production through contracr packing in Kenya & Tanzania. Major customers are Kenya Dicplinrd Forces and World Food Program in East Africa.
Investment in Own Cannery
African Garden Investment in Own Pineapple Canning plant sourcing Pineapple Processing Equipment from Thailand & South Africa.
Expansion
Expansion of Processing capacity from 30metric tons a day to 200metric tons a day. Introduction of new pineapple products that include Pineapple Juice Concentrate 60 Degree Brix, Pineapple Tidbits in Pouches and Establishment of Own Pineapple Plantation in Kenya.

Eric Wanjau

In-charge of sourcing pineapple for processing at the factory, advising and ensuring quality control at the farms, transportation and handling and receiving at the factory. In addition, I carry out trainings of farmers on Good Agricultural Practices in pineapple farming and source out and evaluate pineapple farmers for potential as suitable suppliers.
